Dhangadhi and nearby Kailari settlements face recurring groundwater shortages
A June 2026 Kathmandu Post report said Dhangadhi was distributing water by tanker in affected wards and cited municipal and WASH officials describing dry hand pumps, deeper borewells and weak groundwater recharge in nearby Kailari. The current field status still requires rechecking.
